Celebre Place is part of Lou DeMarco Village, a planned community for seniors on the north side of Kenosha. The vision for a village offering a variety of affordable housing options for older adults started with the advocacy efforts of the Kenosha Senior Action Council, established by well-known Kenoshans Lou DeMarco and Ernest Celebre in 1983.

As the Village expanded, the demand for quality, affordable housing for seniors became evident. In July 2012, Celebre Place opened as a senior apartment community tailored for adults aged 55 and older. Celebre Place features spacious one- and two-bedroom apartments with modern amenities and a friendly atmosphere.
